Banks, change

Malta has two main banks: HSBC and Bank of Valletta. In all cities, and even in villages, we found an agency.
The hours are the same everywhere.

The bank branches are equipped with cash dispensers that operate with Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, and American Express.

The cards are accepted at all hotels and the vast majority of restaurants and shops.

The checks can be exchanged at banks and at the reception of hotels.

Budget

Travelling in Malta is only a little less expensive than France. You can find all categories of hotels, but guesthouses often offer the best value quality-price-conviviality. About restaurants, we have to move a little away resorts to find best prices.
