Money, banks, change

Currency is euro since January 1, 2002.

Provide liquid for all small purchases.

Note: check out (i.e. checks issued by a bank in the metropolis) is almost systematically rejected. It is preferable to have liquid.
Postal checks and repair card, allowed withdrawing at post offices to 305 euros a week.

Banks

Open from 8 to 12 and 14 to 16, except Saturdays and Sundays, and sometimes on Wednesday afternoon.
During the summer holidays from June to September, the hours may change opening from 7.30 to 15
