Cost of living
We can not hide that prices in Greece, Europe requires, tend gradually to reach prices in the rest of the old continent. This is the case in the hotel management (Only the guest houses are still really cheap). In the case of food, retail prices are highly variable; popular restaurants are still very affordable. Fortunately, the gasoline is less expensive than other countries, and public transport (bus, train, boat) are cheap.
For restaurants, the budget will not be the same if you savor grilled fish every afternoon at the port, as if you look for taverns where people eat dishes "to the pot." But generally, the restoration is truly affordable even today. Attention, fish is sold to kilo and is expensive. Expect between 25 and 40 euros per kilo of fish to baking, even more in tourist places. The fish fry is cheaper: about 10-13 per kilo.
Normally you’ll pay 4 - 5 euros for a typical dish popular (gender mousaka) in a restaurant, about 5-7 Euro for a roast meat to the grill (great souvlaki for example).
Expect between 12 and 15 euros for a full tourist menu, like Greek salad, grilled fish and a yogurt with honey, in the port, while a menu with a plate of entry and meat must turn around 7 - 10 Euros per person.
The restaurant owners bill cutlery and bread. Expect a small fee of 1 euro per person. The service is understood, but it is customary to leave a small tip if you’re satisfied (5 to 10%)
