The currency of the Republic of Cyprus is the Cyprus pound (£ C), divided into 100 cents. There are bills of 20, 10, 5 and 1 £ C and coins of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 cents.
The Cyprus pound is not negotiable abroad. Commercial banks provide daily exchange of the Cyprus pound against all foreign currencies negotiable and central bank gives daily value of the Cyprus pound against the euro, to the American dollar and the pound sterling.

You can change the principal currencies, in cash or traveler’s check in banks.
To the south, the most banks allowed to withdraw cash with Visa card, there are cash dispensers in the cities and even in some villages.
