Currency is Belize dollar. The change is easy to do because 1 US$ costs more or less 2$Bz (1$Bz for 0,50€).

Think about going out with small quantities for your little expense. Changing a big bill it’s a great feat. Don’t leave the country with Belize dollars. You won’t change them. If you leave the country by plane, you can change your dollars of Belize in the Philip Goldson International airport, Belize City.

The US dollar (US$), credits cards and traveller’s checks are accepted by most hotels, restaurants and operators. To change pesos or quetzales into Belize dollars, just an address: the Bus company Batty Brothers in Mosul Street, Belize City.
